Maple Leafs’ Auston Matthews out Thursday against Wild

NHL insider Glenn Healy tells Sportsnet’s Starting Lineup that his biggest Maple Leafs’ concern is not only have the goals dried up, but so have the scoring chances, and if not for Frederik Andersen, this could be a lot worse.

Toronto Maple Leafs star centre Auston Matthews will not play against the Minnesota Wild Thursday as he continues to recover from an upper-body injury.

Matthews has been out of the Leafs’ lineup since Sunday.

In 26 games the 20-year-old has 13 goals and 26 points.

Toronto is 5-1-0 without their No. 1 centre this season.
