Matt Duchene listed as day-to-day with knee injury

Mikkel Boedker scored two goals and the Colorado Avalanche moved back into a playoff spot with a win over the Vancouver Canucks.

The Colorado Avalanche will be without leading scorer Matt Duchene for Friday’s matchup against the Calgary Flames, due to a knee injury.

Head coach Patrick Roy says the injury occurred during Wednesday’s win over the Vancouver Canucks, and that he is day-to-day.

This will be Duchene’s first absence from the lineup all season. He has 29 goals and 27 assists in 71 games this season.

Colorado’s captain, Gabriel Landeskog, will also miss Friday’s game as he serves the final game of his three-game suspension for hitting Simon Despres.
