The Montreal Canadiens have signed defenceman Eric Gelinas to a professional tryout agreement.
Gelinas, 26, split last season with the Colorado Avalanche and their AHL affiliate in San Antonio, getting one assist in 27 NHL games.
He’s spent most of his career with the New Jersey Devils, who drafted him 59th overall in 2009.
The 6-foot-4 blueliner has 14 goals and 55 points in 189 career NHL games.
