The Edmonton Oilers acquired the 78th-overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft from the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday in exchange for selections No. 82 and 126.
With pick No. 78, the Oilers selected goaltender Stuart Skinner. An Edmonton native, the six-foot-three Skinner posted a 3.26 goals-against average along with a .905 save percentage in 60 games for the WHL’s Lethbridge Hurricanes.
Skinner joins Kailer Yamamoto, taken 22nd overall on Friday night, as the Oilers’ first two draft picks of 2017.
