Oilers sign forward Josh Archibald to one-year contract

The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Josh Archibald to a one-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.

Archibald, 26, spent last season playing with the Arizona Coyotes. He posted 12 goals and 22 points in 68 games during the 2018-19 season.

In his NHL career, the forward has recorded 20 goals and 26 points in 121 games with Arizona and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He also won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in the 2016-17 season, appearing in four playoff games.

Archibald was originally drafted by the Penguins in the sixth round (174th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
