The Florida Panthers continued their active day on the trade market, landing defenceman Jakub Kindl in a trade with the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a late-round draft pick.
The Panthers acquired veteran forwards Jiri Hudler and Teddy Purcell in separate trades on Saturday.
Kindl, 29, split the season between the Red Wings and the team’s AHL affiliate with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
He has appeared in 273 career games with Detroit and has played in 19 post-season games.
The Red Wings originally selected the defenceman 19th overall in the 2005 NHL Draft.
