A trade that saw the Penguins acquire David Perron from the Edmonton Oilers may have been the biggest piece of news out of Pittsburgh today, but a fight between teammates during practice has drawn some attention as well.
Evgeni Malkin and Craig Adams came to blows during the team’s morning skate on Friday, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review writer Josh Yohe confirmed through head coach Mike Johnston.
Things got heated between the teammates during a “battle drill” and a skirmish ensued.

Malkin throwing some hands in practice might sit well with the “ya love to see that from superstars” crowd, but Adams might want to find someone (preferably one who isn’t one of the best players in the world) to take a few swings at.
Adams, albeit sporting some facial protection, was in the Penguins lineup Friday night.

After the game, it was Malkin downplaying the incident and assuring Pittsburgh fans that “everything is OK”.
