Penguins place forward Conor Sheary on injured reserve

Both Evgeni Malkin and Phil Kessel picked up two goals. While Sidney Crosby picked up two assists. The Pittsburgh Penguins would go on to beat the Washington Capitals 7-4.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have placed forward Conor Sheary on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.

Sheary was injured in Tuesday’s win over the San Jose Sharks, and Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan says he is considered week-to-week. The 25-year-old has 12 goals and 19 assists in 52 games this season.

Pittsburgh has also recalled forward Zach Aston-Reese from the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Aston-Reese has registered nine goals and 20 assists and a plus-21 rating in 41 AHL games in 2017-18.
