Penguins place Justin Schultz on IR, recall Frank Corrado

Pavel Buchnevich scored his 10th of the year to get the Rangers a close 4-3 victory over the Penguins.

The Pittsburgh Penguins placed defenceman Justin Schultz on injured reserve Thursday and recalled defenceman Frank Corrado from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.

Schultz suffered a lower-body injury in Tuesday’s game against the New York Rangers. He has already missed six games this season with a concussion.

The 27-year-old Schultz has two goals and 10 points in 23 games this season.

Corrado is scoreless in three games for the Penguins this year.
