It appears the Nashville Predators‘ Cody Hodgson reclamation project is coming to an end.
The Predators placed Hodgson on waivers Wednesday.
Hodgson has three goals and eight points in 39 games this season. The 25-year-old is averaging 10:44 of ice-time per game, which is currently a career-low.
Advanced metrics paint a much kinder picture for Hodgson so far in 2015-16. Hodgson is currently sporting a 57.3 per cent Corsi for rating and a 52.6 per cent goals for mark (all numbers via war-on-ice.com.)
Nashville signed Hodgson to a one-year, $1.05-million contract on July 1, just days after he was bought out by the Buffalo Sabres.
The Vancouver Canucks selected Hodgson 10th overall in the 2008 NHL Draft. He was traded to the Sabres in exchange for Zack Kassian in 2012 deadline deal.
