Rangers’ Dan Boyle blows up at reporters during scrum

Henrik Lundqvist tweeted to his fans about the Rangers' surprising playoff exit, saying they'll come back better than before.

Dan Boyle‘s possibly last media availability was a memorable one.

The New York Rangers defenceman, who sat out Game 5 of his team’s first round playoff elimination game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, asked two reporters to leave during a media scrum on Tuesday.

The 39-year-old Boyle was reportedly upset at how Brooks and Cyrgalis, both reporters for the New York Post, who were critical of him throughout his last two seasons in New York.

According to Andrew Gross of The Record, Boyle hinted at retiring due to family concerns.

The Ottawa native had 24 points in 74 games this season for the Rangers.
