The New York Rangers have signed defenceman Sean Day to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Day was picked in the third round (81st overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
The 19-year-old has 11 goals and 15 assists in 52 games with the OHL Windsor Spitfires, which acquired the defenceman from Mississauga in October.
He was just the fourth player to ever be granted Exceptional Player Status by the OHL, allowing him to begin his major junior career at age 15.
