Real Madrid’s Benzema sports Winnipeg Jets hat

It appears one of soccer’s top strikers is a fan of the Winnipeg Jets. Or he just really likes the hat.

Frenchman Karim Benzema, who plays for Real Madrid, posted a picture on Instagram Friday of him sporting the Jets logo on his head.

It’s no surprise that Winnipeg is getting more fan support this year. The club has put together a playoff worthy season to date and currently hold one of two wild-card playoff spots in the Western Conference.

Benzema is sixth in La Liga this season with 13 goals. Real Madrid, who sit atop the Spanish league through 24 games, face Villarreal on Sunday.
