Arizona Coyotes winger and Team Europe forward Tobias Rieder will not attend Coyotes training camp after the conclusion of the World Cup of Hockey, according to AZ Central.

Rieder, 23, is a restricted free agent and he and the team have yet to agree to a new contract. Rieder’s agent confirmed he would not be attending camp in an email to AZ Central.

The German forward is coming off a season in which he scored 14 goals and 37 points in 82 games. He has 58 points over 154 games in two NHL seasons. Rieder’s three year entry-level contract, which has expired, was worth $2.775 million.

Rieder, a member of Team Europe which surprised Sweden Sunday with a semi-final victory that will take them to the World Cup final against Team Canada, has one assist and four shots in four games played at the tournament.

Coyotes camp continues on Monday with their season-opener coming October 15.
