The Minnesota Wild have reportedly signed former Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Jack Walker to a deal that would see him suit up for its AHL affiliate in Iowa, according to the Star-Tribune‘s Michael Russo.

Walker, a native of Edina, Minnesota, was drafted in the sixth round (152nd-overall) by Toronto in 2016, but was not extended a contract offer by the Maple Leafs, making him a free-agent.

He followed up his draft day by posting 31 goals and 72 points in 70 games for the WHL’s Victoria Royals last season.
