The St. Louis Blues are expected to bring back Scottie Upshall, according to multiple reports.
Upshall spent the past two seasons in St. Louis, where he registered 16 goals and 16 assists in 143 regular seasons games in a Blues sweater. The 33-year-old joined the Canucks on a PTO earlier this month, but was a late scratch ahead of Thursday’s pre-season game against the Calgary Flames.
The Blues are banged up heading into 2017-18, and have most recently been searching for ways to fill the gap left by forward Robby Fabbri, who was officially ruled out for the season with a serious knee injury.
Rumours earlier Thursday pointed to St. Louis sniffing around Jaromir Jagr as a possible replacement.
