Senators’ Alex Burrows leaves Game 3 with apparent leg injury

Ottawa Senators forward Alex Burrows is in some discomfort as he tries to get back to the bench after going down in front of the Pittsburgh Penguins net.

Ottawa Senators forward Alexandre Burrows left Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Pittsburgh Penguins with what appears to be a leg injury and will not return.

Burrows got tangled in front of the Penguins net with Pittsburgh defenceman Ian Cole and seemed to hurt his left leg in the second period on Wednesday’s game.

He limped off the ice and went straight to the locker-room.

The 36-year-old joined the Senators at the trade deadline and has four assists this post-season.
