Senators’ Andrew Hammond clears, Setoguchi waived

Craig Anderson recorded a shutout in his return, Henrik Lundqvist reached 400 wins and Patrik Berglund scored his first NHL hat trick

Ottawa Senators goaltender Andrew Hammond has cleared waivers and has been sent to AHL Binghamton.

Hammond was the odd man out in Ottawa after Craig Anderson returned to the team’s net after a 69-day absence.

He’s struggled this season with an .837 save percentage and 4.08 goals-against average, but the 29-year-old has had NHL success in the past.

Forward Devin Setoguchi was placed on waivers by the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday.

The 30-year-old has just one goal since Nov. 19, after starting the season as one of the league’s better redemption stories with seven points in his 19 games.
