A piece of the Jason Spezza trade has been locked up as the Ottawa Senators announced Saturday that they have signed forward Nick Paul to a three-year entry-level contract.
Paul, 19, is in his third season with the OHL’s North Bay Battalion where he has recorded 34 points in 27 games.

Ottawa acquired Paul in the summer along with Alex Chiasson and prospect Alex Guptill and the Stars’ second-round pick in 2015 for longtime-Senator Spezza.
Paul was selected by Dallas in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
The six-foot-three forward is currently playing with Team Canada at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championships in Toronto and Montreal.
