Ottawa acquired Paul in the summer along with Alex Chiasson and prospect Alex Guptill and the Stars’ second-round pick in 2015 for longtime-Senator Spezza.

Paul was selected by Dallas in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Draft.

The six-foot-three forward is currently playing with Team Canada at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championships in Toronto and Montreal.
