Shea Weber took part in The Players’ Tribune’s “What the (blank)?” feature, one that asks 10 questions of superstar athletes.
Weber answered each question by submitting handwritten responses. Given the state of his scribbling and the fact that this must have taken him less time to finish than a hardest shot competition, here’s a quick look at a few of those answers from a man who could shoot through a goalie if he really wanted.
(Firstly, this is how he pictures himself out on the ice. Perhaps a tad undersold, given his contract and circumference.)
1. Now that Weber’s revealed his preferred entrance music, it’s so clear that his wrestling doppelganger is Triple H.
2. Asked who is most underrated in the NHL, Weber put up his man John Tavares whom he played with during the 2014 Olympics.
That’s rich: a dude playing in Nashville says a dude who plays in New York is underrated.
3. Why does Weber have to threaten us all? (By “us”, I mean those poor goalies that must stare down his shots.)
Shea, why don’t you just learn how to shoot left as well and become the first switch slapper in NHL history?
4. That’s a funny thing for someone with Twitter to say to Shea Weber on Twitter.
5. Finally, who is the man with the cannon secretly afraid of?
One can only wonder why. Perhaps it’s because of the inevitable revenge for this lost bet by Josi in 2014:
