Sidney Crosby supports Penguins decision to go to White House

The St. Louis Blues scored four unanswered goals including a beauty from Vladimir Tarasenko as they would go on to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1.

Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby says he supports the team’s decision to visit U.S. president Donald Trump with the Stanley Cup.

Speaking after the team’s pre-season game against the St. Louis Blues on Sunday, Crosby said that “it’s a great honour to be invited there.”

The Penguins announced that they would accept an invitation to the White House on Sunday, one day after Trump withdrew an invitation to the NBA champion Golden State Warriors. Trump made that decision in response to Warriors star Steph Curry, who on Friday said he didn’t want to go.
