Hockey Central @ Noon discussion on the news that the Vancouver Canucks are set to name Travis Green as their next head coach.

Travis Green will be hired to coach the Vancouver Canucks, Sportsnet has confirmed.

Green has spent the past four seasons behind the bench of Vancouver’s AHL affiliate in Utica.

He’s led the Comets to a 155-110-29 record in 304 games, and a Calder Cup final appearance in 2015.

The Canucks are coming off their worst season in 18 years and have missed the playoffs in three of the past four seasons.

They relieved Willie Desjardins of his head coaching duties on April 10.
