BURNABY, B.C. — A church in Burnaby, B.C., attended by the family of a Boston Bruins player has been targeted by a vandal who’s apparently still smarting over the Bruins’ Stanley Cup victory over the Vancouver Canucks.

The last name of Bruin forward Milan Lucic with the F word was spray painted on the side of the St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church.

The vandal also left the message "Go Canuks Go" — with the word Canucks spelled wrong — and a depiction of male genitals.

Lucic’s girlfriend posted pictures of the graffiti on Twitter, calling the vandals "punks".

Hockey fans have since stepped in to help the church get rid of the graffiti.

Lucic grew up in East Vancouver and played for the WHL’s Vancouver Giants from 2004 to 2007, winning a Memorial Cup in his final year. (News1130)
