Veteran Jason Chimera signs two-year deal with Islanders

Veteran forward Jason Chimera has signed a two-year deal with the New York Islanders.

Chimera has spent the last 7 1/2 seasons with the Washington Capitals. His annual cap hit with the Isles will be $2.25 million.

Earlier in the day the Islanders signed Andrew Ladd but they lost Kyle Okposo to the Sabres and Frans Nielsen to the Red Wings.
