Jets coach Paul Maurice was unhappy with the hit from Backlund, but said after the Jets 4-1 win that the initial diagnosis of Enstrom’s condition was “positive.”
The Jets kick off the 2014-15 regular season on Oct. 9 against the Arizona Coyotes.
