Canada’s Graham DeLaet shoots opening round 66 at Rio Olympics

Graham DeLaet explains his decision to bring former NHLer Ray Whitney along to the Rio Olympics as his caddy.

Graham DeLaet got off to a heck of a start in the Olympic Games men’s golf tournament.

The Weyburn, Sask., native shot a opening-round 66 on Thursday to finish five under par. He is currently in second place, only behind Australia’s Marcus Fraser.

DeLaet had six birdies and one bogey while being caddied by former NHL forward Ray Whitney.
