After dropping the baton in the qualification round, the United States’ women’s 4x100m relay team will get another chance to reach the final.

Originally eliminated from the event, the U.S. appealed, claiming Allyson Felix was interfered with on the second exchange when a Brazilian in an adjacent lane bumped her, causing her to drop the baton. The Jury of Appeal sided with the Americans, who will re-run the heat by themselves on Thursday night.

The team consisting of Felix, Morolake Akinosun, Tianna Bartoletta and English Gardner will need to post a time faster than China’s 42.70-second mark in order to advance.

Canada punched its ticket to the final by finishing seventh in qualification.
