Giovinco awarded 20th goal, makes MLS history

Toronto FC forward Sebastian Giovinco has been credited with the team’s opening goal in Saturday’s 3-2 win over the Chicago Fire.

Major League Soccer credited Giovinco with the goal on Sunday afternoon. It was initially awarded to midfielder Jonathan Osorio.

Giovinco is now the first player in MLS history to record at least 20 goals and 10 assists in a single season.

The Italian has a grand total of 20 goals and 15 assists in 29 appearances this campaign.
