Man United to play Real Madrid in Ann Arbor

NEW YORK — Manchester United will open its preseason U.S. tour with a match against the Los Angeles Galaxy on July 23 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.

The game, announced Tuesday, will be the first for United under its $559 million, seven-year shirt sponsorship agreement with General Motors Co.’s Chevrolet division.

United’s tour includes previously announced games against Roma at Denver’s Sports Authority Field on July 26, Inter Milan on July 29 at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., and Real Madrid on Aug. 2 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich.
