Conor Garland‘s future might not be with the Vancouver Canucks, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.
The 27-year-old Vancouver forward has been given the opportunity to discuss a potential trade with other teams, Friedman reported Tuesday.
Garland is the Canucks’ fifth-highest paid player, earning $4.95 million in the third season of a five-year deal. He had 52 and 46 points the past two seasons, respectively, on a struggling Vancouver team that is right against the NHL salary cap and could use some breathing room.
