Dustin Wolf will get the start in net when the Calgary Flames take on the San Jose Sharks Thursday night.
The Flames recalled Wolf from the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers on Feb. 9 with Dan Vladar placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.
The 22-year-old Wolf has appeared in five games for the Flames this season, recording a save percentage of .893 and a goals-against average of 3.46. He has not made an appearance for the NHL club since Dec. 12.
The netminder has spent the majority of the season with the Wranglers, where he’s played 28 games, registering a record of 18-7 and a save percentage of .927.
Wolf was selected in the seventh round by the Flames in the 2019 NHL Draft.
Starting goaltender Jacob Markstrom will serve as the backup for Wolf on Thursday.
