Flames sign defenceman Michael Stone to one-year, $750,000 contract

The Calgary Flames announced Tuesday they had signed defenceman Michael Stone to a one-year deal worth $750,000.

Stone, 32, has 134 points in 504 NHL games, which have come with both the Arizona Coyotes and Flames during his career. The deal was very much in keeping with this last three contracts, which were all for one year, at around the league minimum. He was in Calgary’s camp on a professional tryout.
