Forward Evan Rodrigues signs four-year, $12M contract with Panthers

Forward Evan Rodrigues has signed a four-year, $12-million contract with the Florida Panthers, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman confirmed on Sunday.

Rodrigues, 29, had 16 goals and 23 assists for 39 points in 69 games for the Colorado Avalanche this past season.

The undrafted Toronto native has 69 goals and 99 assists for 168 points in 385 career games with the Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins and Avalanche.

It’s a nice raise for the Boston University product, who played on a one-year, $2-million deal with Colorado last season.
