Defenceman Josh Morrissey will return for the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night when the team hosts the Boston Bruins, according to head coach Rick Bowness.
Morrissey has been been out of the lineup since he sustained a lower-body injury against the Florida Panthers on March 11. He headed to the locker room during the game’s second period and returned for one shift in the third, before ultimately leaving once again.
The 27-year-old blueliner has been having a career year with 67 points (15 goals and 52 assists) in 66 contests with the Jets.
Pierre-Luc Dubois, who’s dealing with an upper-body injury, skated with the team Thursday morning but is not set to return just yet.
The 24-year-old centre has been in and out of the lineup over the past two weeks and has missed Winnipeg’s last four games. In 61 games this season, he’s recorded 24 goals and 31 assists for 55 points.
