The Los Angeles Kings have signed defenceman Jordan Spence to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $1.5 million per season.

Spence appeared in 71 games with the Kings last season, recording 23 points. He was one of five defencemen in the league to play at least 70 games and have 12 penalty minutes or fewer.

The Kings selected the 23-year-old in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Draft. Spence became the first Australian-born player to skate in an NHL game when he made his debut in March 2022.
