Nick Kypreos, Justin Bourne, and Sam McKee react to the Toronto Maple Leafs signing defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson to a four-year deal and dive into how he could slot into the team's lineup.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have added another piece to their blue line.

Toronto is signing defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson to a four-year, $14 million contract, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman has learned.

Ekman-Larsson had nine goals and 32 points while averaging 18:24 of ice time in 80 regular-season games with the Florida Panthers this past season.

The 32-year-old added another two goals and six points through 22 games during the playoffs en route to capturing the Stanley Cup.

The Swedish defenceman is coming off a one-year, $2.25 million contract with Florida after getting bought out by the Vancouver Canucks last off-season.

Ekman-Larsson has 144 goals and 471 points in 982 career NHL games with the Arizona Coyotes, Canucks and Panthers.
