Ottawa Senators goaltender Matt Murray missed practice on Tuesday with an illness (not COVID-19) and his availability for Thursday’s season opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs is unclear.

Anton Forsberg would be in line to start the opener if Murray can’t play.

Murray was 10-13-1 with a 3.38 goals-against average and .893 save percentage last year.
