The San Jose Sharks have acquired forward Ty Dellandrea from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round draft pick, the teams announced on Wednesday.

The pick heading to Dallas originally belonged to the Winnipeg Jets but was awarded to the Sharks as part of the deadline deal that saw Vladislav Namestnikov get shipped off to Winnipeg in 2023.

Dellandrea, 23, suited up for the Stars in 42 games last season, recording two goals and seven assists in his fourth campaign with the club.

The Port Perry, Ont. native helped guide Dallas to their second consecutive conference finals appearance in 2024, scoring a single goal across six post-season outings.

Dellandrea will become a RFA in the off-season after inking a one-year contract with the Stars in 2023.

He formerly represented Team Canada at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship and served as an assistant captain during their gold medal run.
