The Blues are locking up Pavel Buchnevich on a long-term deal.

St. Louis signed the impending restricted free agent to a six-year, $48 million deal, worth $8 million AAV, the team announced on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old was acquired by the Blues in 2021 in a trade with the New York Rangers for a 2022 second-round draft pick and Sammy Blais.

Since joining the Blues, Buchnevich has blown his former scoring numbers out of the water, setting a career-high in the 2021-22 season in his first year in St. Louis. He finished with 30 goals and 46 assists in 73 games.

He slowed down a bit in the 2023-24 season, tallying 27 goals and 36 assists, but it was his third consecutive campaign with at least 25 goals and 60 points.
