Winnipeg Jets recall forward Axel Jonsson-Fjallby from Manitoba Moose

The Winnipeg Jets have recalled forward Axel Jonsson-Fjallby from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose ahead of Game 4 against the Colorado Avalanche, the team announced Saturday.

The winger will likely be slotted as a depth forward for the Jets.

Jonsson-Fjallby, 26, has made 26 appearances with the Jets this season, notching two goals and three assists. Over 41 games in the AHL he has 12 goals and 18 assists.

He played one game for the Jets last year in the post-season.

Winnipeg is currently down 2-1 to the Colorado Avalanche in their high-scoring first round series. Game 4 will take place at 2:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 a.m. CT on Sunday, April 28. You can watch the game on Sportsnet or stream on Sportsnet+.
