Félix Auger-Aliassime, Milos Raonic, and Vasek Pospisil have been named to Team Canada's roster for the Davis Cup Finals.
The trio joins captain Frank Dancevic, Gabriel Diallo and Alexis Galarneau at the Palacio de Deportes José María Martín Carpena in Malaga, Spain. The Davis Cup Finals will take place from November 21-26 on Sportsnet.
“I am honoured and thrilled to be able to captain such a great team at another Davis Cup Final,” said Dancevic in a statement. “After seeing what this group was able to do during the Group Stage, winning all three ties, and with the additions of Milos (Raonic) and Félix (Auger-Aliassime), we are confident that we have what it takes to win a second straight world title.”
Auger-Aliassime will be representing Canada at the Davis Cup for the sixth time in his career and has a 9-4 record at the tournament. He put together eight straight wins en route to help Canada earn its first-ever title in 2022. The 23-year-old, who is the 19th-ranked player in the world, is coming off a quarterfinals appearance at the ATP 500 event in Tokyo.
Raonic will be making his return to the Canadian squad after last appearing in the tournament back in 2018, where he won both his matches in a World Group playoff tie with the Netherlands. After a two-year injury absence, the 32-year-old made his return to the court this past June, picking up important wins over world No. 55 Miomir Kecmanovic and world No. 14 Frances Tiafoe.
Pospisil heads into the finals with a record of 31 wins and 24 losses and is the second-most-winning Canadian in Davis Cup history.
Canada will kick off its Final 8 stage against Finland on November 21.
