Keselowski wins Nationwide pole at Watkins Glen

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. — Brad Keselowski has won the Nationwide pole for Saturday’s Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International.

Keselowski, the defending race winner, turned a fast lap of 124.194 mph in the No. 22 Ford in the second and final round of qualifying to edge teammate Joey Logano and give Roger Penske a front row sweep.

It’s the first Nationwide Series pole at Watkins Glen for Keselowski, his fourth of the season and 18th of his career in NASCAR’s second-tier series. It’s also his first road course pole.

Kyle Busch will start third, followed by Marcos Ambrose and Regan Smith.

Series points leader Chase Elliott will start 15th.
