WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will welcome the winner of NASCAR’s 2011 Chase for the Sprint Cup Series to the White House on Tuesday.

Joining Obama and Cup Series champion Tony Stewart in the afternoon will be other drivers from the 2011 field and top NASCAR executives.

Obama will honour Stewart’s win, the first for a driver/owner since 1992, and also recognize efforts by Stewart and NASCAR to give back to the community.
