Former Major League Baseball slugger Jose Canseco went on two Twitter rants in two days, sounding off on how the National Baseball Hall of Fame is handling potential inductees from the steroid era.
The author of “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big,” the 2009 book that called out steroid users around MLB, believes he, and other players, need to further educate voters on how to handle steroid-era Hall of Famer candidates.
He ranted about that on Tuesday.
After calling out both Hall of Famer Mike Piazza and legendary baseball reporter Tom Verducci, Canseco continued his rant on Wednesday morning, taking aim at former MLB commissioner Bud Selig (who was controversially elected into the Hall) and then later in the day at voters and Jeff Bagwell, who was announced as a player inductee alongside Tim Raines and Ivan Rodriguez on Wednesday evening.
