Blue Jays acquire Bryan Baker from Rockies to complete Oh trade

MLB insider Jon Morosi joins Sportsnet's Starting Lineup to discuss Josh Donaldson's injury and trade value.

The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired right-handed pitcher Bryan Baker from the Colorado Rockies to complete the Seunghwan Oh trade.

The 23-year-old Baker has spent the 2018 season at high-A Lancaster, pitching to a 3.80 ERA with 58 strikeouts in 45 innings. His strong K/9 rate of 11.6 also comes with a concerning walk rate of 6.8 BB/9.

Toronto traded Oh to Colorado on July 26 in exchange for prospects Chad Spanberger, Forrest Wall, and now Baker.

Oh has pitched well for the Rockies since the trade, surrendering two earned runs in his first nine games.
