The Toronto Blue Jays announced Saturday that pitcher Chase Anderson has been reinstated from the 10-day injured list, while outfielder Billy McKinney has been optioned to the team’s alternate training site.

Anderson was on the IL dealing with a right oblique strain, but he was activated in time to make his 2020 debut start for Toronto against the Boston Red Sox. Anderson was traded to the Blue Jays in November after posting a 4.21 ERA in 32 appearances with the Milwaukee Brewers last season.

McKinney joins the Blue Jays taxi squad after appearing just once this season as a pinch runner.
