Blue Jays catcher Montero leaves game with groin strain

Toronto Blue Jays catcher Miguel Montero left Wednesday’s game against the Chicago White Sox with a right groin strain.

Montero caught starter J.A. Happ in the sixth inning but did not come back out to catch the seventh. He was 0-for-3 but reached first once on a fielding error before he left the game.

Russell Martin took over behind the plate.
