The Toronto Blue Jays have called up right-handed pitcher Yennsy Diaz from double-A New Hampshire.

Right-hander Nick Kingham was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique injury in a corresponding move.

Diaz, 22, has an 8-7 record, 4.15 ERA and 1.30 WHIP over 112.2 innings and 21 games this season for the Fisher Cats.

The Dominican Republic native was signed by the Blue Jays as a free agent in 2014 and spent the last four years prior to 2019 in Class A.

Diaz is ranked by MLB Pipeline as Toronto’s 24th best prospect.
