The Toronto Blue Jays have selected the contracts of right-handed pitchers Luis Santos and Rhiner Cruz, the team announced Wednesday.

In corresponding moves, the team has optioned left-hander Tim Mayza to triple-A Buffalo and designated righty Preston Guilmet for assignment.

Santos is 2-2 in 17 appearances for the Buffalo Bisons, posting a 2.52 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 39.1 innings pitched. The 26-year-old has made one appearance for the Blue Jays this season, allowing five hits and six earned runs in 1.2 innings in a 13-4 loss to the Cleveland Indians on May 3.

Cruz, meanwhile, has pitched in six triple-A games this season with a 1.04 ERA and nine strikeouts over 8.2 innings.

Mayza pitched 1.1 innings in Tuesday’s win over the Mets and has a 3.75 ERA in 12 innings. Guilmet was claimed off waivers by the Blue Jays from the St. Louis Cardinals on June 9, and has allowed 11 hits while striking out five in six appearances for Toronto.
