The Toronto Blue Jays tendered a contract to starting pitcher Matt Shoemaker on Monday and non-tendered three players, the team announced on Monday.
Catcher Luke Maile, reliever Derek Law and right-hander Jason Adam were non-tendered. Every other member on Toronto’s 40-man roster was tendered a contract for 2020.
Shoemaker, 33, posted a 3-0 record with a 1.57 ERA and 0.87 WHIP in 28.2 innings of work for the Blue Jays in 2019 before he tore his ACL in April and was ruled out for the rest of the season.
